Martin’s fantasy novel series A Song of Fire and Ice. Set on the fictional continent of Westeros, the series follows the seven noble families fighting for the right to the Iron Throne and the crown of the Seven Kingdoms. The HBO medieval fantasy contains controversial material; it is not a show for the faint hearted. The series remains unaffected in its showing of violence, nudity and sex in both casual and confronting ways. Expect heroes and villains, renegades and honest men, gauntlets and dragons. But also expect spilt blood, manipulation, and nakie ladies every episode. Don’t get too attached to characters. The ones you love are the first to die. Despite (and perhaps because of) its controversial content its acclaim is international. The moral ambiguity of the situations and characters adds controversy for its avid international fan base to discuss. Everyone has an opinion on the only game worth playing.
