Who's that girl? Who is she? It's Jess! There's nothing particularly mind-blowing about this series, which stars Zooey Deschanel as Jess, amidst a small set of regular characters. But it is most definitely one of the most endearing television shows to ever hit mainstream TV, without the advantage of animated characters or an abundance of cute children. The show is not only very endearing, but funny and easy to relate to, the perfect chick flick equivalent for a girls night in. Jess, a school teacher living in L.A., has just broken up with her boyfriend, after possibly one of the most awkward discoveries of your boyfriend cheating on you that we've ever seen. Soon after she finds her an apartment, renting with three guys who observe her hilarious exploits and amusements with fascination. As they become closer and closer, the series turns to examining the real life challenges and progressions which appear as we live our lives, set against a backdrop of pranks and laugh out loud jokes. So yeah, this series is seriously charming.
